Miss Jamaica World (MJW), Jamaica’s most anticipated, prestigious and longest running international calendar pageant has caught the attention of internationally acclaimed shoe design and fashion House – The Charles Whittington Collection (CWC).

A deal was recently inked between the franchise holder of MJW 2017 – Mr. Maurice Haughton James and Shoe Design House – Charles Whittington Collection (CWC) for CWC to become The Official Shoe sponsor for this year’s pageant.

Founder, designer and inventor – Dr P. Charles Whittington has had the distinction of being recognized in the United States for his many business accomplishments. He has been bestowed with several awards and honours, namely Designer of the Year presented to him from President George W. Bush, Best Sneaker Design and The Congressional Order of Merit. He has also been featured in the prestigious book of ‘Who’s Who” which features biographies of over 30,000 noteworthy and influential people from the UK and beyond.

The 2017 MJW contestants will be the centre of high fashion, public attention and envy when they rocked the runaway on coronation night, Saturday, September 23, at the National Indoor Sports Arena with their Charles Whittington Collection signature line of shoes – The Double Heel Stiletto.

This shoe design features two stilettos that allow for better balance and stability for the wearer. The mission of Van Charles Inc. is to create the most competitive brand within the shoe industry, using all viable mediums to promote its product. Miss Jamaica World Pageant continues to be a vibrant, stable and well recognized marketing brand and is seen by CWC as a perfect marketing medium to promote it’s line of high fashion to a parallel target audience in the local market.

Under the sponsorship agreement the newly crowned Miss Jamaica World queen 2017 with be outfitted with several pieces of clothing from CWC’s fashion line, accompanied jewellery pieces and accessories and a new batch of shoes as part of her wardrobe to Miss World Finals
