Sanneta Myrie is Miss Jamaica World 2015

Miss Jamaica World 2015, Dr Sanneta Myrie

Medical Doctor and Miss Evergrow Garden Center contestant, Sanneta Myrie was tonight crowned Miss Jamaica World 2015.

The 24-year-old says she entered the competition to break down barriers.

“As MJW 2015, I hope to breakdown the stereotype of beauty and inspire young Jamaicans to dare to reach for their brightest dreams, regardless of hair texture, skin colour and social background,” she said

Myrie was previously awarded the top prize for the Miss Jamaica World Talent Competition and was also dubbed the favourite to win by patrons and social media users.

Royanne DeSilva was first runner up and Roshelle McKinley who walked away with the award for best figure was second runner up
