The 2010 MJW Finalists will vie for the MJW Talent and an automatic place in the Top 10 at the Pageant Final this Tuesday July 27, 8pm at Fiction Lounge located in the Market Place off Constant Spring Road. Each year a number of talented girls enter the pageant with the hope that their talent will get them one step closer to the MJW title and the opportunity to represent Jamaica at the prestigious Miss World Contest. This year\u2019s pageant boasts a number of talented young women and an entertaining and keenly contested competition is expected. There will be a closed pre-judging at the Spartan Health Club on Monday and only the most talented contestants will perform at the Talent Fast Track Competition Final on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The 2010 MJW Pageant is comprised of 5 Fast Track Competitions which guarantee the winner a place in the Top 10 at the Pageant Final set for August 21, 2010 at the Jamaica Pegasus. During the contest period, the contestants will vie for the titles: MJW Talent, MJW Beach Beauty, MJW Model, MJW Sports and MJW Beauty With A Purpose. The first three listed are public shows and are slated as follows: Spartan Health Club MJW Talent \u2013 Fiction Lounge, Tuesday July 27 at 8:00pm; Venus Embrace MJW Beach Beauty \u2013 Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa, Saturday August 7 at 1:00pm; SoftSheen Carson MJW Model \u2013 The Deck, Trafalgar Road, Tuesday August 10 at 8:00pm<\/p>\n
The judges for the 2010 MJW Talent Fast Track Competition are Tommy James – Chief Judge, Nadine Sutherland, Rising Stars judge and popular songstress, Clive Thompson NDTC choreographer and former lead dancer for Martha Graham and Alvin Ailey, Alvin Campbell, writer and audio visual consultant and MJW Pageant Director, Dr. Terri-Karelle Reid.<\/p>\n
