20 Dazzling Miss Jamaica World Ambassadors to make their first appearance at Sovereign Centre –Saturday, May 26

20 beautiful Miss Jamaica World (MJW) 2012 Ambassadors will on Saturday May 26 at 1 pm, ignite the Sovereign Center – Liguanea ablaze with their beauty and charm. If 2011 was anything to judge by, the girls will be showcased to a jam packed enthusiastic audience who will be waiting to get their first glimpse of the 2012 MJW finalists, and try to form their opinions as to who will wear the prestigious crown in this historical year when Jamaica celebrates 50 and goes for gold at the Olympics in England. The Miss Jamaica World hopefuls will be making their first public appearance in exciting designed casual wear by T & T Fashion and swimwear apparel by The Mushroom.
The Sovergein Parade and presentation will be the platform where the 2012 MJW contestants’ sponsors – Acropolis Gaming & Entertainment Centre,
Dark & Lovely, Vineyard Spices, Optical Solutions, Dunn’s Electrical, Bucmars inc. Ltd., Venus Embrace, 12 to 12 Promotions Ltd, Neutrogena, Listerine, Sun Island Jamaica, Canadian Brothers Development Ltd, Maybelline New York, Konnexx Services Ltd, Green Energy Savings Ltd, The Fit Shoppe, Pryce Construction, Appleton Jamaica Rum, Genesis, Vonessa’s Salon & Spa – will be bestowed with the task of randomly selecting and sashing – courtesy of Supreme Ventures’ and their gaming machine – their company’s Miss Jamaica World representative and then officially presenting them to the public at large.

The 20, 2012 Miss Jamaica World finalists will be carefully selected on Wednesday, May 23, at a private elimination exercise at The Spartan Health Club from a pool of over 35 pre selected candidates who were previously selected from a record breaking number of entrances, they will be joined by other prospective candidates all wanting a chance to be the next Miss Jamaica World Ambassador.

Having the tough task to narrow the field to 20 will be a panel of expert judges – which will include Pageant Franchise Owner – Mickey Haughton- James, Pageant Director – Regina Beavers, Pageant Coordinator – Ms Tracey Hamilton, among others.
In an effort to secure another outstanding Jamaican representative to the Miss World competition, the contestants will in the weeks preceding Coronation Night, scheduled for June 23 at the Wyndham Hotel be put through a mandatory training regimen which will include exercise, grooming, deportment and speech training by grooming specialist Damian Shaw, and speech and communications by Norma Brown-Bell – a stalwart in the broadcasting and communications field and the Spartan Personal trainers who will have direct responsibility for the ladies physical appearances.
As potential Jamaican Ambassadors, the girls will make courtesy calls to Government Officials, Sponsors and Media Houses. The contestants are competing for the prestigious crown and Title of Miss Jamaica World 2012 and the chance to be the next representative to the 2012 Miss World pageant in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China.
