“Auditions” for Miss Jamaica World (MJW) 2011 to begin May 7
Spartan Health Club, organizers of the annual Miss Jamaica World Pageant, is inviting prospective contestants for this year’s Miss Jamaica World Pageant to attend a series of “auditions” to be held at Spartan starting on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2:00pm and continuing every Saturday thereafter, at the same time and venue during the month of May. With early preparation being key, at each of these “auditions”, young ladies who – in the view of the organizers – have the potential to be finalists in the 2011 Pageant, will be granted complimentary gym membership, as well as free grooming and speech classes leading up to the Official Selection of Finalists. The grooming and speech classes will be conducted by Ms. Beverley Corke, Corporate Image Consultant and Ms. Norma Brown-Bell, Communications Practitioner, respectively. Ladies who are unable able to attend the audition dates are still invited to attend the Official Selection of Finalists which will take place at Spartan Health Club on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 2:00pm. The Miss Jamaica World 2011 Pageant is being staged under the leadership of Dr Terri-Karelle Reid who has again been appointed Pageant Director. Other members of the Organizing Committee are Regina Beavers, MJW 2001, Sara Lawrence, MJW 2006, Tommy James, motivation and public relations consultant and Mickey Haughton-James, Managing Director of Spartan Health Club. The Pageant Finals is set for Saturday, August 27, 2011 and will be telecast Live on TVJ.
