KERRY MOXAM – Miss 12 to 12 Promotions Secures A Top-10 Spot in Miss Jamaica World Pageant

Amougst a highly competitive field the very popular, contestant number 13 Kerry Moxam – Miss 12 to 12 Promotions, on Saturday, August 7, 2010 won the Venus Embrace sponsored Miss Jamaica World (MJW) Beach Beauty Fast Track Competition, held at the exquisite property of the Grand Palladium Resort and Spa Hotel, who played host to the contestants and their chaperones for a one week dream holiday package.

Kerry Moxam is no stranger to the Miss Jamaica World Pageant as she was the first Runner up in the Miss Jamaica World Western Beauty Pageant in 2006 at the tender age of 17; however she never made it to the finals as she was involved in a motor vehicle accident prior to the start of the competition. This beauty showed complete poised and great presentation onstage to secure her win. According to the panel of judges in their post mortem review the competition was not a run a way for her as the other contestants looked well, some with very well-toned skin; and from their view point it was obvious that the girls had put in quite a bit of gym and choreography work as all gave good presentations of themselves.

From as early in the morning of August 7, the  hotel was a buzzed with excitement as the girls prepared for their time to shine at the Venus Embrace sponsored Beach Beauty Competition choreography by the ever talented – Weston Haughton. The competition was scheduled to start at 1.3 pm by the Resorts Beach front, but the rain came and rained on the parade.

The girls and the hotel guest who came out to witness the show spirits were not damped by the delay and down pour. The event was abandoned by the beach and rescheduled for 8.00 pm in the Lady Hamilton Theater.

As part of the MJW Beach Beauty Fast Track competition, The Grand Palladium Resort guests were encouraged to vote for the contestant of their choice. Their votes formed part of the official judging process and assisted in the selection of the winner. The overall winner would automatically be fast tracked as a 10 top finalist in the upcoming Miss Jamaica World Coronation show to be held at the Jamaica Pegasus, August 21.
