I am Kim-Moya Dawkins, born in Kingston, in 1989, the daughter of outstanding educators, Corla Dawkins, teacher and HOD at Eltham High school, and Dr. George R. Dawkins, outstanding educator and researcher, and currently, Vice-principal, Academic Affairs & Research at Shortwood Teachers’ College.
I became fascinated with the idea of being a beauty icon that would hold the responsibility of being a positive role model especially to young girls ever since Lisa Hanna won Miss World in 1993. I would love the opportunity to be a voice for the voiceless, an ambassador for my country. Most importantly, I would like to use the notoriety gain from this pageant to provide a platform for me to start a charitable organization whose goal would be to help abused and neglected children and increase the awareness of mental health.
