  • Life’s Ambition:
Apart from being successful in the Marketing and Modeling Industries, my biggest ambition is to learn from and share with others. I want to know that my contributions have impacted many in a positive way.
  • What are your five-year goals?:
My first goal would be to gain partnerships with corporations by 2022 to fund or provide donations to help me expand my resources and target more children/communities for my mentor-ship program Creative Interaction for Socialization (C.I.S.). I launched C.I.S.in 2014 to help youth in our society use creative medias such as; writing, painting, photography, dancing and martial arts to aid in communication skills. Areas of discipline, expression and interpretation are exercised with these activities to assist them in understanding self and their surrounding; further alleviating conflicts and problems that might arise due to misinterpretation.

Within these five years i would also like to resume planning my Project Being Kandid. The objective of this project is to create a platform for the younger generation of Fashion, Art and Photography to showcase their talent. I envision a fashion show with full production that allows these individuals to utilize their talent, network and also represent themselves as creators. These creatives need an opportunity to showcase and practice their talent. This can be fulfilled through gradual progress and development of the showcase which i estimate to execute once every 2 years.

  • Motivation for entering Miss Jamaica World 2017?:
Growing up I have always been interested in pageants. Gina Hargitay really inspired me to start my journey she wasn’t just beautiful, she was smart, passionate and strong. I wanted to walk in these foot steps. I also did a lot of research and reading about pageants and learnt of its contributions to the development of a persons character and holistic behavior. It helps you to find yourself, challenge yourself and at the same time become a more rounded person. I am 100% ready for a journey that will help me to learn from and leave more amazing experiences.
  • What is your most unusual experience?:
My most unusual experience was in high school. I received the Leadership Award and Scholarship at the night of my 5th Form Graduation, however, up on returning to school in September to continue into 6th Form, I was unable to use my scholarship fees to my advantage. The school said they had no record of me being the recipient of the award. I had to write a letter to the school alumnae to verify my position before I was eligible to officially start school. It was a very odd experience for me that i still haven’t understood.
  • Describe your proudest/happiest moment:
One of my proudest/happiest moments was becoming Miss Global Jamaica 2016. I believed in myself but i knew i came a far way. Sleepless nights and hours of planning, training and exercising, all my hard work had payed off. I was super grateful and honored to be in that position especially knowing all that i have done was being recognized as exceptional.
