Fiction was transformed into a fashionista’s playground. If you were not there you missed quite a fashion show as the 2012 Miss Jamaica World Contestants turned into Supermodels and rocked the Club’s runway much to the patrons’ delight. The packed audience was treated to a fabulous show featuring bikini swimwear by The Mushrooms and original coloured inspired sleek Haute Couture designs from leading fashion house – Uzuri International. The girls also strutted their stuff in “divalicious hats” by Hatitude’s Karl Brown. The night’s programme was ably managed by Master M.C. Regina Beavers – MJW Pageant Director and Fame Fm Host and Chike from RE TV.
With all the right model attributes – height, style, striking facial features and poise, Miss Acropolis Gaming and Entertainment Centre Adrianna Bryan , fiercely strutted her style into the hearts and score cards of the MJW Model Fast Track competition judges – Tommy James – Chief Judge , Novia McDonald Whyte – Observer Lifestyle Editor, Laura Butler – Former Miss Spartan Body Beautiful , Sophia Max Brown – former MJW Top 5 Finalist/ Fashion Store owner , Bev Cork – Corporate Image Consultant, Brian Rosen – renown photographer , Sharon Beckford, – former model and Fashion Store Owner , Debbie Hall – personal trainer and Miss Jamaica Body Beautiful winner 2007 and Miss Jamaica World 2009 Kerrie Baylis.
For this Fast Track Model Competition the girls were judged on the following criteria; Style – how well the fashions were presented to the audience, grace on stage, personality in showcasing the pieces worn, technique and overall ability to show garment and work the stage and audience. With several of the girls having modeling experience, it was no walk in the park for Ms Acropolis, as the girls were intent to show to the judges that they have what it takes to be the next MJW Model Fast Track Winner.
Standing close to 6 feet tall, with striking bone features; from her first step on to the stage it was clear Adrianna Bryan was one of the favourites with the audience to win the Fast Track Model Competition. The elated contestant was not only crowned The MJW Fast Track Model for 2012 but more importantly she secured her spot as an automatic Top 10 finalist in the upcoming Miss Jamaica World Coronation show to be held at the Jamaica Pegasus, Saturday, June 23. Second and third place respectfully were 6ft 1” – MS. DARK AND LOVELY Saneta Kerr, and Deanna Robins – MS. DUNNS ELECTRICAL & LIGHTING who was another striking crowd favourite.
The next Fast track stop on the girls’ hectic itinerary before coronation night will be Wednesday, June 13 at 8.00 pm at Club Eras – 73 Knutsford Blvd for the Appleton Special MJW 2012 Talent Fast Track Competition.
